Helllllllllllllllooooooooo and Update!

Ok so it's been awhile since I blogged here. LOL. *blush*

God! So much has been happening. But firstly Merry Christmas and I hope you're all having a wonderful wonderful time with friends and family, or just relaxing!

I've been busy.. surprise surprise but importantly I've been spending some time with our favourite four boys on their trip down-under. I spent seven wonderful concerts with these guys and had an absolute blast, many highlights but the last three Sydney concerts were just three nights I never will forget. I was lucky again to spend these with such wonderful people and had so much fun.

I took about ten million pictures, lol... if you're on my Facebook you'll know that. I am trying to work out a way to blog the whole experience so stand by.

Just towards the last week before Christmas my Grandfather passed away so that was very sad right on Christmas, so many emotions between that, work was wearing me out and of course all the excitement with work---not surprisingly enough I came home from Australia with Pneumonia and spent a week, including all of Christmas in bed. LOL. UGH. I am finally coming right.

As for writing, well. I am back on track I hope. I have come home bursting with ideas and if you can imagine spending what fourteen hours staring at Jon does---it does wonders for the inspiration. SO expect more! MacKenzie and Jon, Devon and Jon and right now I did a short for Callie & Jon for Christmas, you can see that here.

Slow burn - Jon and Callie's Xmas.

I have a couple of weeks off over Christmas so I am keen to get back into all swings of things.  So stay tuned and peace!

About me.

Christchurch Earthquake.

Some of you are probably wondering why it's taking so long to update my stories lately when I usually do my best to do so. The answer to that is my city in New Zealand was hit by a massive earthquake this week, it happened at 4.45am Saturday morning and was the most terrifying singular thing I have ever experienced in my nearly 32 years on this planet.

It was like a freight train in the middle of the night, glasses smashed, I was slammed from side to side in my door-frame barely able to stand and I had that moment where I truly thought it was the end.

We lost power, so I was alone in pitch black darkness trying to find candles and a phone that worked in the middle of the night. Luckily the phones did still work so I was able to contact my loved ones pretty quickly.

Miraculously the 7.1 magnitude earthquake made us lose a lot in Christchurch. But we lost no one. No causalities from the shake, and looking at the destructive from the city which has still been closed off since Saturday, it's a miracle.

Since Saturday we've had over 300 aftershocks, at least over 50% of them significant enough to feel and some even have us scrambling for the doorway all over again. My city is in ruins and there is estimated over $4 Billion dollars of damage. I was a lucky one that my house survived and all my services are back up and running but there are many that have lost everything. Good structured homes, demolished in the blink of an eye.

We're still expected to have a magnitude earthquake of 6 before the week is out. As you can imagine it's been like walking on eggshells all week. Being home bound because there is no where else to go, and we're too scared to go anywhere else. Just in case.

I'm proud to be a Kiwi as our Prime Minister John Key, and Christchurch's mayor Bob Parker have been amazing.

I have friends I didn't think I had, I also have friends who I thought cared about me and perhaps don't. Events like this are humbling and they bring out the best and worst in people. It's given me a lot of perspective I very much needed, and a lot of people don't get to be given that and still survive. So that I am thankful for.

Night's are the worst. I don't think there has been a night where I haven't woken up to an aftershock in terror, thinking it's happening all over again. It will take some time for life to return to normal here, our city's face is forever changed. We've lost around 100 buildings in the central city that will need to be demolished.

So that's me. Since I am not at work, I am attempting to write but I can't promise anything. :)

Take Care and if I can tell you one thing, make sure you're ready for something like this. Have a survival kit ready because we often think it won't happen to us. But reality is in today's unstable world. It will.

Talk soon.

New Stuff!

OK. I've started a new little short called The Object of His Desire. Now it can be found in a new special place I've set up for short naughties, as lets face it sometimes you just want to write them. So bookmark here ;)

 The Leading Man

And I updated Dangerous Territory. See what's happening with Jon & Mac.

And Devon, I know---I said a wee while ago I'd post her up a couple of weeks ago and well, it's been more than a few weeks. Don't worry the story is very much well in my head and I've made a start so she will make an appearance soon I promise. Her story will be found here: Miss Fourth Of July. I am very excited about this one as she's been one of the loudest muses I've had in a long time ;)

So there you have it! While I battle with the Winter Elements and count down till Jovi Fest in Dec, I shall keep writing,. ;)

As always thanks for stopping by.

Trapped

Sometimes when you have a shitty week, words really are the best medicine. ;) Now, I'm no poet but I did rather like what I came up with.

Trapped

I feel trapped even when the walls have crumbled away.

I feel the rope slipping, and I can't pull it back.

I want peace, but all I do is fight.

I want passion, but all I have is pain.

I want to laugh, but all I do is cry.

I want to be strong, but I'm so weak.

I want to scream, but no one will hear me.

I want to love, but no one will have me.

I want to live, but I've forgotton how.

I am trapped and I want to be free.

Coming Soon...

As much as I hate that Callie is over, and thank you again for all your lovely comments. I've moved on, it'll be a couple of weeks before I post but I have the blog all ready to go---and a little teaser on the site. I'll be adding this one to my mailing list so if you do want an update when I post this story, please email me.

Miss Fourth of July

Have a lovely long weekend to all my readers in the US---keep safe.

Oh and if you are a Twilight fan, I've just seen Eclipse---GREAT movie, miles better than the previous two and not bad eye candy ;)

Stay tuned. *muah*

Well it's done.

As they say, all good things must come to an end. Check out the final chapter of Living in Sin right here....Living in Sin and see how Callie and Jon's story ended. *sniff*

As a writer, it's a very weird feeling to let go of something that's been in your head a long time. But it was their time. There will be an epilogue in the next few days though. Thank you for letting me share Jon and Callie's story, and for being as passionate about them as I was. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Enjoy!

How does one pick up the pieces and move on?

LOL, I have been struggling like hell to get back into my life at home, my work and routines. Part of that is jet-lag, it's taken me quite the week to get back into WANTING to be back and back on my own time, but I have, slowly.

What's happening now? Well I'm still working on Dangerous Territory and Living in Sin which is coming to a close. I am working on a new one, which is set pre-Circle and a girl called Devon. So that'll be fun, and there's a few little twists in there. ;)

Ohhh and it's been announced Jovi are coming to our shores in December, so I'm very excited about that. Something to look forward to, but not my bank balance--it'll be a lean winter that's for sure.

More updates to the stories coming soon. ;)

Ciao,
Kiwi

Living in the USA.......

Hey!

Just thought I'd check in.... WOW, is all I can say. It's just been a crazy amazing trip. I'm coming up to the last weekend in the USA and TaraLeigh and I are heading to visit a good friend of ours out in Syracuse, and we get to go to some quaint town pronounced Skinny Atlas--I'm very excited.

I've met so many of you and of course it so was not enough time. I need to come back when full Jovi craziness is not here and just spend time with people and see your awesome country. I have the biggest blog post coming in the next week about my experience and stories *sigh*

The concerts were just AWESOME, I can't begin to explain how good it was to see Jovi again, I had only seen them once from very far back and I was up close for two nights at Meadowlands, and just---wow.

I don't want to fly 37973 hours home, LOL.. to cold depressing winter, but I have found out my job is secure as my company went through a restructure while I was away, so just PHEW.

I also have a ton of pics I'll post up as well, as well as continuing with my stories, I know---I'm looking forward to getting back into them. I've done a little while I've been over here, so Callie should be ready in a few days. Thanks so much for being patient, I know it's a pain in the ass when there is a big gap!

*muah*

Talk soon.

Sunday, May 16, 2010

Well then......

With just three days to go until I head out to the USA, man time has flown! I can't wait to meet a number of you and of course I can't wait to see my boys. It's been a long time coming, I have seen them only once and that was before the madness took over, so until I experienced it, I didn't fully appreciate what I was in for. Two years later and I'm excited as anything!

Work's been busy and yes the updates have been slow, I hope to get an update out before I leave but there could be a couple of weeks break from me writing, but I'll post in the stories...IF I manage to get a chapter done on the plane, you'll get that but we'll see how that pans out and who is sitting next to me LOL.

But anyway just wanted to let you know where I am at, of course I get to start the fun task of packing, luckuly I am intending to go shopping once I get there too, yay!

Take care and talk to you sooooon

Songs

I am in a reasonably sub-dued mood for a Monday....loads of things going on but I'm sitting at my desk working on the next Callie chapter, and oh yea, working! lol.

It's 18 days till I hit the US and I can't wait, and I actually believe that it's going to happen after about five years talking about it! But so much hangs in the balance for me right now, financial and work/job related. I'm having a hard time being excited. But I know the closer I get, it will be.

Anyway, the purpose of this post is that as a writer sometimes we find a song that just fits a story, or a character so perfectly. Or we find a song that creates an idea in my head. And this song by David Cook, did exactly that. GREAT song. And now I have a very good idea brewing. LOL. Such is the over-active mind of a writer.

Happy Sunday/Monday where ever you are!

Writing Palooza

Happy Monday!

Good news ;) Both Living in Sin & Dangerous Territory were updated yesterday. So click on the links above and catch up on Callie and MacKenzie. I am into the next Callie chapter as we speak, so hopefully there shouldn't be too much of a delay for that one.

A month today and I'll be boarding a plane for Los Angeles to start my trek across the Pacific to come and see New York City I'm so damn excited I could vomit. LOL

Anyway that's me for now ;) Talk to you soon & Happy Reading!

The future...

Well it's no secret that eventually stories end---and what does a writer do when that happens?
They plan the next one of course.

So---I thought I'd just heads you up on a little idea I'm exploring for the next story.

Ever wondered how Jon stays looking so young and just fantastic? C'mon the guy has better pores than I have! Sheesh. Well my next little Fan-Fiction Adventure will involve Devon Scott and her little Boutique in Soho called, "Allure." Allure is a beauty spa and a coffee shop that's been in Soho for a year and is doing very well for itself.

Jon is in the middle of writing The Circle and happens to stumble in on Devon's little slice of paradise, not only does he start to become addicted to her treatments and coffee---but he starts to become addicted to her ;)

What Jon doesn't know is that Devon has a past that's made her what she is today, and it goes against everything that Jon believes in--so what will happen? Can Devon fall in love with someone like Jon after all that she's been through? And can Jon put aside his pride and put into practice the lyrics of the songs he writes about?

Coming In June---and believe me, you won't be disappointed.

;)

I'm really NOT...

A Good patient. LOL

I have had some kind of flu-thing since Good Friday and I'm so sick of resting but I don't have my choice, this flu is kicking my body's ass. Anyway, besides that, LOL. I watched Cry Wolf again today---man there is just something about HRH in teacher's get-up that makes me nuts, and glasses even.

I love that his character was kind of slutty as well LOL Naughty Naughty, and then I remembered I went as far as to write a short about this awhile ago now, but I had to re-read it after watching, plus if you are a newer reader, I don't have this linked anywhere, so you might get a wee thrill ;)

Teacher's Pet

So there you go---oh and it's 5 weeks and 6 days will I take off for the USA---yes, I know...LOL Shhhhh.  I should really get a widget. LOL Anyway, enough just wanted to share and yes, I'm working on next chapters of Dangerous Territory and Living in Sin as we speak  ;)

Take Care Now,
Kiwi.

Living in Sin & Dangerous Territory

Have both been updated this week, new Living in Sin up today....

Enjoy!

When it Rains.........

It freakin pours.

Well I survived another business trip up north and I am home for the long Easter weekend---with the Flu. I am so unbelievably pissed off, as I had planned to do a lot of things I needed to catch up on this weekend. One was writing, I still plan to but for the first two days of this weekend, I've been in bed.

I should have known on my flight to Auckland, that the three people behind me coughing and spluttering ALL the way would be trouble, and lookie lookie. They were. GAH....so not fair, this was my only break until May when I go overseas to the US. So *sigh*

I am dying to write more of MacKenzie and Jon, as I have alluded to, things were just starting to heat up and as for Callie and Jon, will she finally accept they should be together once and for all? ;) All things coming soon my lovelies.
Thank you again for your continued support.

Be back soooooon. You can thank the lovely Lisa-Marie for the DELICIOUS eye-candy from Mohegan at the top of this post hehehe. I just wanted to touch base and thank you for the emails and tweets, I'm definitely working on things!

I also just wanted to say *muah* out there for a few friends that have and are going through some tough times of late---I love ya.

Check-in time.

Well it's been a long few weeks baby. Phew.

I've managed to keep the updates going, perhaps not as long as often as I would have liked mind you, but things are settling down at work, kind of. I think with the nature of this job it's always going to be bumpy so I'm going to have to live with it. Gah.

Lot's has been happening in the Jovi world, obviously now there is more You Tubes than I can ever possibly count or watch, I'm so far behind in my viewing. This one here though from last night at the Mohehgan most definitely hit the spot. I just adore when these two guys harmonize like this. *sigh*

I have exactly seven weeks until I take off to the USA, for a three week vacation which I am most excited about and I can't believe that it's come around so quickly. I'm looking forward to meeting up with close friends and having an old-fashioned Jovi blast when they take on the New Meadowlands stadium. *sigh*

Should be a BLAST.

As for the stories, they will move on -- and I already have a new idea for one, once Callie is completed. ;)

As you can see, I am also in blog re-design mode...I have a slight addiction to these things, so look out for this, Living in Sin and Dangerous Territory for a little face-lift!

WOOT!

Have a great weekend!

Update Central

Don't you just love the look on his face? ;)

Just thought I'd check in and say hi, over the weekend I made some updates to Living in Sin and Dangerous Territory, and thank you as always for the feedback. Both of these stories are entering some critical stages so I hope to not disappoint!

I'm hearing great things about the Jovi shows from a few of you that have attended the first shows, and seriously I can't WAIT to see these guys in May--seriously buzzing, plus I get to do the whole NYC thing as well--complete bonus and so excited.

As you know I've been working my ass off for my company the last few months and I had some awesome recent recognition from my company, so I'm so pleased as I'm just about ready to fall down dead. LOL, and I've had some good news of a couple of other things in my life of late, so I'm finally on a good road and add Jovi into the mix--and I'm happy as a clam.

Have a great week guys, and I'll try to get a new update in mid-week!

You would have noticed I've updated both stories in the last two days--both Living in Sin and Dangerous Territory are now both updated.

;)

Thanks again for all your continued support, and as a teaser, just to let you know both of these stories are heading into big stuff ;) hehehe.

Part of this inspiration also could be that there is multitude of Jovi videos out there that are inspiring me ;) God I do love tour time.

Happy V-Day!

Just thought I'd check in, as I sit here on a dreary Monday morning over here in New Zealand. I've got good news though, I updated both stories last night so click on the links to take you to either Dangerous Territory or Living in Sin. :) Now that my mind is cleared (for now) of work crap, I should be updating a little more regularly.

I was ill over the weekend, but I tool the time to read back on Jon and Callie's story, just to make sure things were panning out the way I wanted them too, and I was really pleased.

Anyway---as you know the guys started their tour in Hawaii this coming weekend, there are some amazing videos around, thanks to Sam aka Fictionmistress.

Here is just one, click on her and see the rest, you so won't be disappointed!

Also--this is the blog for your tour needs, a bunch of us co-ordinated by the lovely Goddess are making sure all tour media gets put here, for your one-stop-shop ;)

So I'm not really sure what happened....

But I managed to update TWO stories tonight.
LOL.

Especially after just days ago I was feeling, less than inspired due to work KILLING me slowly -- gah can I just tell you I hate my job right now LOL.
So going on that...I'm really impressed with myself LOL.

SO for your reading pleasure, Dangerous Territory and Living in Sin are now updated.

YAY!

For those of you attending shows just around the corner, I'm very excited for you guys -- I can't wait to see Jovi back on tour...and of course You Tube will be back in business.

For now, I'll leave you with a pic (in my header here) that is KILLING me! From the Haiti song Jon collaborated on... good lord that man is just too delicious for words, isn't he?

Working for a Living...

Blah, whoever invented that concept -- bites. LOL
Just thought I'd pop in and say hi, and just let you guys know that I'm up North for a few days on Business, so the likely-hood of being able to update before the weekend is slim. :(

But I'll work to get both updates out on the weekend :)

So come drool over TD Jonny, and I hope you all have a fabulous week.

Updates -- ahoy!

Ok so I'm enjoying my last official day of the holidays (cry for me now, LOL) It's been a glorious two weeks off, and I dare say I needed it to just de-stress. I let things get on top of me at the end of last year, so I say new year and new lease.. and all that palava ;)

Sooo I've updated Dangerous Territory if you haven't already seen that, things are starting to heat up there, in more ways than one. ;)

And I've posted the next Lily and Jon chapter :) So enjoy.
Holidaze

I hope to get a new Callie chapter up today or at least tmrw :)
And I'll be back with someone else later on as well, a new kind of fun project a few of the team are doing.
